Ukraine's state news agency, November 11 - Ukraine's renewable energy generation increased by more than 10 percent year-on-year to 10 billion kilowatt-hours in the january-October period, according to the Guaranteed Purchase of Electricity Company of Ukraine.

By the end of October, green power accounted for 9 percent of Ukraine's total electricity generation. Despite this, it still falls short of its 2021 target of 10.708 billion KWH. In the renewable energy generation structure, photovoltaic power generation accounted for 60.4%, ranking first; Wind power accounted for 29.8%, ranking second; Biomass power (7.6%) and hydropower (2.3%) .

So far this year, guaranteed power purchase companies have paid 48.1 billion hryvnia for renewable power generation, of which 36.4 billion is for electricity generation this year.
