1️⃣ Get the Base Ready: Make a strong concrete or packed earth base. Mark where the bolts should go based on your plans.

2️⃣ Put in the U-bolts: Before you pour concrete, attach the U-bolts to the mold. If the concrete is already there, use expansion bolts or chemical anchors to secure them.

3️⃣ Line Up the Posts: Put the bottom of the carport post into the U-shaped part, making sure it’s straight and in the center.

4️⃣ Tighten Everything: Use a wrench to tighten the bolts on the sides until they’re just right, so the post stays in place.

5️⃣ Double-Check: Look at the post to be sure it’s standing straight up. Check that the bolts are tight and that the coating that prevents rust isn’t damaged.
