1️⃣ Put the toothed washer between the grounding plate and the rail or panel frame. Make sure the teeth are facing the metal.

2️⃣ Shove the bolt or screw through the grounding plate, washer, and whatever you're attaching it to.

3️⃣ Tighten it up until those washer teeth really grab onto the metal. Get it nice and secure for a good electrical link.
