1️⃣ Locate the Roof Structure:Identify the rafters or other suitable structural members beneath the tiles. The hook should be fixed to a solid structural point for proper load transfer.
2️⃣ Lift the Roof Tiles:Carefully lift or remove the tiles at the planned mounting locations. Take care not to damage them.
3️⃣ Position the Roof Hook:Place the ZAM adjustable roof hook on the structural member and align the base with the fixing position.
4️⃣ Secure the Hook:Fix the hook with the specified structural screws or bolts.
5️⃣ Adjust the Hook:Use the adjustment slots to set the required height and position. Check that the hook sits correctly with the tile profile and allows the rail to remain level.
6️⃣ Reposition the Tiles:Carefully return the tiles to their original position. Make sure they sit properly around the hook and that water drainage is not blocked.
7️⃣ Install the Solar Rails:Connect the aluminum rails to the roof hooks using the appropriate bolts and nuts. Align and level the rails before final tightening.
8️⃣Install the PV Modules:Place the solar panels on the rails and secure them with compatible mid clamps and end clamps.
9️⃣Final Inspection:Check the rail alignment, fasteners, panel position, hook stability, and roof waterproofing before completing the installation.

☆ Excellent Corrosion Resistance: ZAM coating provides strong protection against outdoor corrosion and offers good protection around exposed cut areas.
☆ Adjustable Design: The slotted structure allows the hook height and position to be fine-tuned during installation.
☆ Easy Rail Leveling: Adjustment slots make it easier to achieve a level rail installation on uneven or variable tile roofs.
☆ Durable & Cost-Effective: ZAM steel offers a good balance of strength, corrosion resistance, and material cost.
☆ Wide Roof Compatibility: Suitable for a variety of pitched tile roof applications.
☆ Easy Rail Connection: Compatible with common aluminum solar mounting rail systems.
Q1: What is ZAM steel?
ZAM steel is coated with a zinc-aluminum-magnesium alloy. This coating provides enhanced corrosion protection and makes the material well suited to outdoor construction and PV mounting applications.
Q2: Will the hook damage the roof tiles?
The hook is installed beneath or between the tiles, so the mounting point does not normally require drilling through the tile itself. Tiles should still be handled carefully during installation.
Q3: Can the ZAM roof hook be customized?
Yes. Dimensions, hole patterns, adjustment ranges, material thickness, and other specifications can be customized to suit different tile profiles and project requirements.
Q4: Is the roof hook suitable for coastal environments?
ZAM steel offers good corrosion resistance, but the final material and coating should match the actual site conditions. For highly corrosive coastal or marine environments, the coating specification and fastener material should be evaluated carefully.
