1. Preparation

Tools required: tape measure, chalk line, drill with appropriate drill bit, torque wrench and safety equipment.

2. Installation steps

1️⃣ Mark the hook location

Determine the best location for the hook based on the solar panel layout and roof structure.

2️⃣ Remove the tiles

Carefully remove the tiles at the marked location to expose the roof battens or rafters.

3️⃣ Install the hook

Align the hook with the underlying structural member (battens or rafters) and secure with appropriate fasteners (such as stainless steel screws).

4️⃣ Replace the tile

Trim or modify the removed tile as needed to accommodate the protruding part of the hook, and then reinstall it to maintain the appearance and integrity of the roof.

5️⃣ Install the mounting rail

Secure the mounting rail to the installed hook, ensuring it is level and properly aligned.

6️⃣ Install solar panels

Mount the solar panels onto the mounting rails and secure with end clamps and intermediate clamps as per the system design.

7️⃣ Electrical grounding

Ensure all components are properly grounded to comply with local electrical codes and standards.

3. Post-installation inspection

Confirm that all hooks, rails and solar panels are securely fastened.

Check that the installation is properly aligned and has structural integrity.

Confirm that the system meets all relevant safety and performance standards.
